I Was Walking Around And I Found This...

I was surprised (and a bit proud) when all of the sudden I saw this sign...

The Famous Calico Ghost Town.

This is one of the most interesting place I've been...
It is a real ghost town and it is awesome. You have to pay to enter, your money serves a good cause, it helps this place to not fall apart and there are some of the most creepy buildings...
It was a town built by miners, in fact they extract gold and silver back in the day. Some (real) people still live there and for example there is a clothing store placed in the actual old building and I had a strange feeling entering... There was a girl working there and I thought that it would be so, so scary to work there, what if you are closing the store and you hear stomping on the wooden floor; I mean, this building a century ago was still the place you find today, it did not get remodeled or renewed...
Then you can visit the house of some of the people who lived there, there is a little train that brings you inside and around the old gold mine... My only regret is that I did not visit the local cemetery but, well... It is a good reason to visit Calico Again...
These pictures show just the mine area... Some of the miners actually built small houses to live in next to the mine... Some were made of wood, some were in stone (there are a few ruins) and some others again were excavated from the rock... Their tools are still in place...

Alien Fresh Jerky.

This are some pictures of some of the items I got at "Alien Fresh Jerky" in Las Vegas...
